In accordance with their internal statutes
the WTA CZ Council and the SSBK Board of Directors issue the following
RE-AUTHORIZATION RULES
WTA CZ – Scientific and Technological Association for Building Rehabilitation and Monument Preservation
and
SSBK – Concrete Structures Repair Association
for the field of concrete structure repairs
Article 1
These Re-authorization Rules regulate the procedure for extending the validity of the Authorization for the field of concrete structure repairs obtained by the applicant in accordance with the Authorization Rules of WTA CZ and SSBK, after the expiry of the Certificate of Authorization.
It is not an authorization according to Act No. 360/1992 Coll. as amended on the exercise of the profession of authorized architects and on the exercise of the profession of authorized engineers and technicians active in construction.
Article 2
To extend the Certificate of Authorization (Re-authorization), a scoring system can be used, where the activities of the Authorized Person in the last five years are scored.
If the Authorized Person does not want to or cannot use the scoring system (i.e. does not reach the required amount of points) to extend the Certificate of Authorization, and at the same time intends to keep holding the Certificate of Authorization, it is necessary to complete the standard procedure for obtaining the Certificate of Authorization in accordance with the Authorization Rules of WTA CZ and SSBK, published on the websites of WTA CZ (www.wta.cz) and SSBK (www.ssbk.eu).
Article 3
The application for Re-authorization is submitted to the WTA CZ secretariat by the applicant in writing on the prescribed form, which must be fully and legibly filled in. The Re-authorization can be requested no earlier than 6 months before the expiry and no later than 3 months after the expiry of the current period of validity of the Certificate of Authorization. In case of non-compliance with the latest deadline for submitting the application for Re-authorization, the existing Certificate of Authorization expires and in order to renew it, it is neccessary to complete the standard Authorization process in accordance with the Authorization Rules of WTA CZ and SSBK.
The Re-authorization Application Form, including the point evaluation appendix, is available in an electronic version on the websites of WTA CZ (www.wta.cz) and SSBK (www.ssbk.eu).
As a part of the Re-authorization, individual activities of the Authorized Person in the last 5 years are scored. Emphasis is placed on the presentation of professional results at WTA CZ and SSBK conferences, or in the WTA CZ, SSBK and BETON TKS Newsletters, where the professional level of the performed work is evaluated. Also included are self-educational criteria demonstrating a continuous increase in professional knowledge.
Article 4
The assessment of the application for Re-authorization will be performed by the Examination Commission for Authorization Procedures, which consists of four members, namely a chairman and 3 others. Two members of the commission are appointed by the WTA CZ Council and two others by the SSBK Board of Directors. The chairman is elected by the commission by secret ballot. The commissions are independent on the WTA CZ Council and the SSBK Board of Directors in assessing and deciding on the result of the Re-authorization procedure.
The Examination Commission will assess the application for Re-authorization and issue a decision within 21 days of the submission of the complete application for Re-authorization. Subsequently, the applicant is immediately informed of the result and in case of a positive decision, a Certificate of Authorization with extended validity is issued within 15 days. The Certificate of Authorization is valid for five years.
Article 5
The fee for Re-authorization and extension of the Certificate of Authorization is 1,500 Kč. For the members of SSBK or WTA CZ, this fee is reduced by the membership fee paid in the year when the validity of the Certificate of Authorization is extended.
Article 6
The applicant agrees to be included in the list of authorized persons for the field of concrete structure repairs on the websites of WTA CZ and SSBK.
Article 7
These Re-authorization Rules come into force on the day of their approval by the WTA CZ Council and the SSBK Board of Directors.
